A standard card deck is essential in an online rummy game. It consists of 52 cards divided into four suits: hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs. Each suit contains 13 cards, including numbered cards (Aces through 10) and face cards (Kings, Queens, and Jacks). Additionally, a joker serves as a wildcard for sequences or sets. If the closed deck runs out, the open deck is reshuffled to form a new closed deck automatically during online play.
